Abstract

The purpose of this study aims at analyzing the “Depiction of aggression in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Novel by J.K. Rowling” also to find out the types of aggression that depicted in the novel. This study used the theory by Fromm (1973) about aggression behavior which related to the aggressions that depicted in the novel. This study was conducted by using a qualitative method. After writing this study, the writer found a lot of depictions of aggression which perfomed by some characters. Further, the writer adjusted the depictions with the types of aggression which concluded not only carried out in destructive way but also defensive way.
