Abstract

This study aimed at analyzing the scandal of politics and the causalities of the scandal of politics in Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. The data found were presented in the form of essay in narrative descriptive by using qualitative approach. All the data were collected by reading, identifying, listing and analyzing potential object that related. The theory used in analyzing the object was taken from Foucault (1972); explaining about the ways of work of power which can be used in scandal by annonymous. From the data analysis, it was found that there were several kinds of scandal of politics, such asaccusing without evidence, hiding the facts, killing, defaming, hoaxing, robbing, trapping, believing in rumor, and decepting; while the purpose of scandal of politics was to get the powers to save church; but actually the case was deception.
