Abstract

This study entitled “Inequality Toward Black Women In “A Worn Path” Short Story: A Black Feminism Perspective”. was aimed to examine inequality issue with black feminism theory and the effect of inequality in society that effect to the main character in the Eudora Welty’s A Worn Path short story. The research methodology used in this study was qualitative method by analyzing the data from the dialogues in the short story. To complete the study, the research has been analyzed using Black feminism theory by Patricia Hill Collins trough “Black Feminist Thought: Knowledge, Consciousness and the Politics of Empowernment” books. In this study, it was found the inequality issue in society caused by white people toward black people especially black women, which has a bad effect and also a horrible impact to black people in their social life. Key Word: Literature, Black Feminism Criticism, Social Inequality.
