Abstract

This thesis is entitled “Teaching Vocabulary Using Picture Books Through Communicative Language Teaching (A Case At Third Grade Students Of SD NEGERI KEBAYORAN LAMA UTARA 07 PAGI)”. The aim of the study is to analyze teaching vocabulary using picture books through CLT method. The writer used qualitative approach to analyze the data of the study with the observation, and interview the teacher. The questionnaires were also given by doing observation. The result of study showed that teaching vocabulary using picture books through CLT was more effective, and interesting. It showed that the students are more active in the class during the learning process. The students were able to answer the questions raised.
