Abstract

This thesis entitled “The Use of Audio Visual Media in Improving The Students Vocabulary at the second grade of SDN Bendungan Hilir 05. The Purpose of this study to describe the teaching learning process using video. The object of this research is the second grade students of SDN Bendungan Hilir. This study used qualitative approach by doing observation, interviewing teacher and giving vocabulary test to the students. the result of the study showed that learning using audio visual is effective to the students. Based on the oberservation in the class using Audio Visual keep the students more interactive, and more concentration. From the interview with the teacher, students enjoy the teaching learning process. It can be seen by the increasing of the students Ability in studying vocabulary. It can be shown from the result of the vocabulary test. The students make inprovement on their score mostbof them have good score which average 9.25. Using Audio Visual the students enjoyed learning English, felt more comfortable, and made easy to memorize the vocabulary. Keywords: Improving vocabulary, using audio visual, qualitative approach.
