Abstract

This study analyzed the code mixing and code switching which are found in A Very Yuppy Wedding novel. This study used the theory from Bokamba (1989) and Crystal (1995) to analyze the main data source. The result of this study shows Ika Natasya describes the code mixing and code switching based on the story in this novel. All the code mixing and code switching in this novel have the way to convey the content of the story and the content itself clearly are described from the title of the novel. This study revealed 68 code mixing, code switching and the functions. Key words: code mixing, code switching, novel, story.
