Abstract
This study is aimed at revealing the meanings of the drama script of The Happy Journey to Trenton and Camden by Thornton Wilder (1931). This study used qualitative method in which the dialogues were analyzed to examine the narrative elements: characterizations and point of view. Based on the analysis, there was a contradiction between the happiness concept in the tittle and the story presented. Keywords: drama script, happiness concept, characterization, narrative elements
