Abstract

This study is aimed to identify and to analyze the women subjectification in movie script, The Lady. This study aimed to show how women become the subject and her attempts to gain recognition as a subject. This study applies the theory of feminism by Naomi Wolf (2002). The concept of feminism relates to gender equality in this case, women is regarded as the second creature while men is the first. The result of this study shows that women may be recognized as a subject in the family, the country and the world. Moreover, her efforts to be a subject are done in numerous ways.
