Abstract

ABSTRACT Current information security has become a very important thing to note. Many confidential information such as personal data, financial data, and even state secrets so that confidential data needs to be protected so it can not be misused by others who are not authorized to do so. There are various methods to protect certain information, such as with Cryptography and Steganography. Cryptography composed the original message into a meaningful message. This is important because of the message, which means unauthorized people can not know the contents of the message. But with the message that does not mean people will suspect that confidential information is hidden in the message and will try to solve it. Therefore, this suspicion must be avoided and suitable method to avoid suspicion is to use steganography that will disguise the message so that its existence is not recognized by others. This study is about steganography which will be incorporated in the video using DCT. Basically, this method is to modify the DC coefficient bits in a byte of the file setiatp cover. A text message has been inserted into the video, avi format, and then type the message was taken from a video file. From the test results prove that the method of DCT can be implemented in a video steganography steganography method is most criteria as invisible.
