Abstract

The objectives of this study are to discover the suffixes and to understand the process of word suffixes and their functions in Forbes Indonesiamagazine articles. The main theories Plag (2003) and Fromkin (2003) are used to fulfill the process analysis of the study. Besides, this study used the descriptivequalitative method.In the results of this study, there are four categories of suffixes are found. The first category is nominal suffixes which is divided into 10 types, -age,-an, -ing, -ion,-ism, -ist , -ity, -ment, -ness , -ship . The second category is verbal suffixes which is divided into 1 type, -ize. The third category is adjectival suffixes which is divided into 7 types, - able, -al, -ful, -ic, -ing, -ive, and -ary. The last category is adverbial suffixes which is divided into 1 types, -ly. Moreover, this study hopefully will be useful to the reader especially in suffixes morphology. The result of this study is expected to attract readers who are interested in analyzing to develop the next similar study. Key Words: Linguistic, Morphology, Suffixes in Forbes Indonesia Magazine
