Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis students’ perceptions mengenai kesadaran hukum di SMA PGRI 22 Serpong. The main focus of this study is to understand how students interpret and give meaning to school rules, what factors influence their level of compliance, and how the role of teachers as well as the school environment contributes to shaping students’ legal awareness. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah descriptive qualitative method, which allows the researcher to explore social phenomena in depth based on real experiences in the field. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA PGRI 22 Serpong yang berperan sebagai key informants dalam proses penggalian data. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam (in-depth interviews), dan dokumentasi guna memperoleh data yang komprehensif dan valid. Data analysis was carried out through several stages, including data collection, data reduction, coding, data display, and conclusion drawing. Untuk menjamin keabsahan data, penelitian ini menggunakan uji credibility, triangulation, the use of reference materials, and member checking, sehingga hasil penelitian dapat dipertanggungjawabkan secara ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki pemahaman yang baik mengenai konsep hukum sebagai a set of rules yang berfungsi mengatur perilaku individu demi menciptakan ketertiban, kedisiplinan, dan keadilan di lingkungan sekolah. Legal awareness among students is formed through knowledge of school regulations, the role of teachers in providing guidance and role models (role modeling), as well as consistent disciplinary practices implemented by the school. Faktor yang paling dominan dalam membentuk kesadaran hukum siswa adalah keteladanan guru dan konsistensi sekolah dalam menegakkan aturan. Therefore, this study concludes that students’ legal awareness develops through a synergy between cognitive understanding, direct experience, and a supportive school environment that enforces rules in a fair and consistent manner.
