Abstract

PT. Roda Prima Lancar is a manufacturing company whose product is the posh comp handle kowl. From September 2023 to August 2024, the production was 215,768 pieces with 5,952 pieces or 2.67% of defects, where the defect tolerance limit is 0.06%. The problem faced by the company is that there are dimensional defects in the posh comp handle product that do not comply with company standards. The types of product defects found are the top plate not entering the jig inspection and the stay patch stuck in the hand jig. The flow of stages in this study uses the New Seven Tools method with seven stages, namely Affinity diagrams, relationship diagrams, matrix diagrams, matrix diagram analysis, tree diagrams, arrow diagrams, and process decision program charts. The results of this study indicate that there are factors causing defects, namely Humans, lack of operator understanding in installing materials on the process jig, maintenance errors, lack of control of material handling. Materials, no inspection process is carried out, material storage does not comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Environment, messy material storage and messy production area conditions.
