Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the use of intrinsic element in selected song lyrics entitledEarth Songand Heal The World songs by Michael Jackson that focuses on the denotation and connotation regarding of meaning of the environmental campaign. In this case the lyric poetry Earth Songand Heal The World are a song which include the environmental campaign.The method used on this study is qualitative approach by describing and analyzing the character in the lyrics. The theory uses ecocriticism by Lawrence Buell. Ecoriticism found in these lyrics is the environmental campaign that appears in denotation and connotation.
