Abstract

This study entitled “Power Relation Depicted in King Arthur: Legend of Sword (2017)” aims to analyze the depiction of power relation and also the impacts of power relation on the main character in the movie. The theory that is used for this study is power relation theory by Michel Foucault (1977). This study is conducted using qualitative approach as the analysis presented in text and pictures. The analysis yields a total of 11 data that consist of 3 pictures that showed depiction of power relation, and 8 pictures that showed the impacts of power relation on the main character. Apart from the data the writer also gives a brief discussion about the depiction of power relation and the impacts on the main character in the movie.
