Abstract

Cats are mammals, just like tigers, lions, leopards, and other types of animals. Cats have agile bodies, retractable claws, sharp hearing, and various types of fur, which make them attractive as pets. However, like other animals, cats can also suffer from diseases. Therefore, it is important to know how to identify a sick cat. An expert system is a branch of AI (Artificial Intelligence) that designs a computer to mimic an expert in solving problems. This Android-based system is created using the forward chaining method, a reasoning method that moves from a problem to its solution. This application with the forward chaining method is expected to diagnose skin diseases in cats based on visible symptoms entered into the system. Additionally, it can also provide information in the form of appropriate solutions and treatments for cat owners to properly care for their sick cats.
