Abstract

This study is aimed at analyzing Derivational affixes of English morphological process to what Derivational affixes and word classes changes in derivation which are found in The Sick Rose novel by Erin Kelly. The qualitative method was used to analyze the data of Derivational affixes in English morphological process in this study. In analyzing the data, two theories were used to fulfill the process of analysis they are Carstairs and McCarty (2002), O’Grady (n.d). The result of this study shows there are 50 derivational affixes which are classified into three Derivational suffixes they are 13 nouns, 7 adjectives, and 30 adverbs. Keywords: Morphology , Derivation, Affixation.
