Abstract
This study entitled “Guilt and Redemption in The Midnight Library a Novel by Matt Haig” aims to depict the guilt issue of the main character and elaborate how the main character portrayed the redemption. The writer used the qualitative descriptive method to elaborate the data. This study referred to the theory of guilt by Roy F. Baumeister and the theory of redemption by Mike Wilkerson. Moreover, this study found out that the main character, feels guilty about her past wrongdoings to people around her, as well as to herself. Thus, her guilt guides her to make a redemption.
