Abstract

This study is entitled "Narcissistic Personality Disorder as Reflected in The School for Good and Evil by Paul Feig (2022)". This study aims to depict narcissistic personality disorder reflected and how does the development of narcissistic personality disorder portrayed in the main character in The School for Good and Evil film by Paul Feig. And a loss of empathy for other people. This study also considers the factors that contribute to the basics of cinematography. Qualitative methods are used to analyze and classify several dialogue scenes in the story. The results of this study indicated that there are characteristics of narcissistic personality disorder that are reflected in the film. Namely, the main character shows an excessive attitude towards power, beauty, success, and a great need to be prioritized by others, which correlates with Freud's (1961) theory.
