Abstract
This study aims to analyze code-mixing in Podcast Listen Up. The object of the study is Listen Up Podcast entitled “Semua Peduli, Semua Terlindungi with Hannah Al Rashid” (2019) by Ucita Pohan in the Spotify application. This study applies the qualitative research method. The analysis is presented in a form of tables and text. In order to guide this study, the writer uses the perspective of Hoffman (1991) as the theory of code-mixing. The analysis result showed three types and three reasons for code mixing used in Listen Up podcast. The types of code-mixing found were intra-sentential code-mixing with 16 data, intra-lexical code-mixing with 7 data, and change involving pronunciation with 1 data. The reason of using code-mixing is to talk about a particular topic with 12 data, next is being empathy about something with 6 data, and the last is repetition used for clarification with 1 data.
