Abstract

The purpose of this research entitled “The Character Personality In Petrick Ness’ A Monster Calls Novel” is to describe the character personalities and identifying the types of character’s personality in A Monster Calls novel. In analyzing, the writer used a psychoanalytic approach by Carl Gustav Jung. In conducting this thesis, Qualitative approach is used by reading a whole novel for several times in order to comprehend the story in the novel. The writer finds the character personality types based on Carl Gustav Jung theory. This study can be useful for those who are interested in conducting a study of character personality.
