Abstract

This study aimed to know and explore the semiotic elements found on 15 selected digital advertisements of KFC Instagram official account and also find out the implied messages form this ads. This study applied a descriptive qualitative method. Then, the unit of analysis of this study was taken from instagram advertisement that posted on October until December 2017. However, Those advertisements sorted by determining non-verbal included symbol,icon and color selection and verbal sign included tagline or jargon on this ads The theory of triadic by Charles Sanders Pierce applied on this study. Triadic theory was emerged about representament, object and interpretant that were found on picture advertisements. Triadic theory was emerged about representament, object and interpretant that found on picture advertisement. The relationship of those aspects can be delivered clear meanings of the selected advertisements. Afterward, through this relationship could create the process of delivering meanings and interpretation that is called as semiosis process.
