Abstract

This study is aim to analyze the characteristics of picture book, materials and the implementation of using picture book in teaching vocabulary at MI Sirajul Falah 01. In this study, the writer used descriptive study in qualitative approach. The data source was taken from conducting the observation and interviewing the English teacher. From the data analysis, the writer could conclude that; the teacher used non comical picture book as a media in teaching vocabulary and used a strategy from Hickman, pollard-durodola and Vaughan in teaching vocabulary using picture book.
