Abstract

This study aims at identifying and finding dialects in sociolingustics which are performed in “The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers” film. In this study entitled “Dialect Analysis In The “The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers” Film Script A Socio Study”, the writer focuses on dialects to get the data interpretation. Qualitative approach is used in this study by employing the theory from Wardhaugh Ronald (2006). The result of the study shows categories of Dialects found are Regional Dialects and Social Dialects. Then implied meanings of dialects found in the utterances depend on speaker’s purpose in the contextual conversation.
