Abstract

The aim of this study is to improve reading comprehension of Grade of VIII 8.3 of SMP Pustek Serpong through jigsaw technique. The writer used qualitative approach in collecting the data. The data taken from observation, questionnaire, interview and reading test. From the observation, it was found that students enjoy and interested during the learning process. Based on questionnaire, it can be shown that the teacher gave interesting materials, and a good class environment in the learning process. While according to the interview, the teacher said that the use of jigsaw technique gave new atmospher to the students in teaching and learning process. Moreover, the result of reading test, there are 54% students got highest score and 46% students got good score. Keywords: Teaching, Reading Comprehension, Jigsaw Technique
