Abstract
This study is aimed to figure out the illustrative and narrative elements in the picture book entitled “Clouds’ by Anne Rockwell using descriptive qualitative method. The theory used in this study was taken from Tomlinson and Brown (2002) to analyze the character, theme, moral values and illustration. From the data, it is found that the main theme is about nature which brings kindness if we treat it well. Besides the main theme, the line that dominated horizontally to describe the ground is also found. Another result is the color in the picture book dominated by the blue color to describe the sky. In this picture book, there are more than five types and shapes of clouds which bring different kinds of weather. Keywords: Picture book, theme, values, character, illustration, clouds
