Abstract

The title of this study is entitled “Woman’s struggle against gender inequality in The Tenant of Wild Fell Hall Novel by Anne Bronte”. The aims of this study is to describe gender equality in the “The Tenant of Wild Fell Hall Novel”. The approach of this study is qualitative research. This study applied the theory from Perinne and Thomas (1987), Gemble (2001) and Hook (2000). The results of the study shown that the gender equality in “The Tenant of Wild Fell Hall Novel” can be indicated by age, ethnic, class, religion, disability, occupation, and education. Key words: woman, novel, gender, equality, qualitative.
