Abstract

The title of this study is “The Analysis of Jargon Words in Pt. Campina Ice Cream Industry”. This study described the analysis of the jargon terms which are found in PT. Campina Ice Cream Industry. The approach of this study was qualitative research. This study used two theories from Richards and Schmidt (2002). The result of this study shows that in this company, there are 35 jargon terms. This study revealed some jargon terms such as Account Receivable (AR), Achievement (Acv), Area Coverage, Bicycle Unit (BU), Branch manager (BM), Branch Officer (BO), Cash Budget, Cash Sales, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Credit Note (CN), Current Month, Daily Sales Report (DSR), Fast Moving, First Expired First Out (FEFO), General Manager (GM), General Trade (GT), Inventory, Medium Moving, Migo, Modern Market (MM), Not Advantage Position (NAP), Overdue, Pare Position, Plafon, Purchasing Order (PO), Receiving Report (RR), Routing, Slow Moving, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Super Market (SPM), Supervisor, Term Of Payment (TOP), Time Motion, Tricycle Unit (TU), and Visibility.
