Abstract

The thesis is aimed at discussing about abnormal personality or aberrant personality who does not like a common people and identifying the characterization of the main character in The Lovely Bones film. The film was studied by using the descriptive qualitative method. In analyzing, the writer used psychoanalysis theories of Sigmund Freud and characterization of Boggs and Petrie. And this research also describes about psychiatric disorder of the main Character such as pedophilia, psychopath, obsession and sexual disorder. George Harvey is the main character in the film who will be discussed in this study. This study will be provide benefits for those who are interested in studying personality, psychoanalysis, and characterization of characters in the film. Key words: personality, characterization, and psychoanalysis
