Abstract

This study aims to design a syllabus and materials for speaking skill for BCA’S staff KCP SudirmanPark.This course design includes the needs analysis wherethe participants were interviewed and diagnostically tested according to their background knowledge,level of proficiency including four English skills: listening,speaking,readingand writing. Providing the syllabus of the course in order to be implemented in teaching-learning activities. The objective of the course is to describe how the course will be run,the approach to use in applying the syllabus and the materials,the methodologies used are Communicative Language Teaching and Task-based Language Teaching. The result of the study is the course syllabus that is based on the staff’ needs in studying business English by interviewing, observing, giving tests of the staff in BCA KCP Sudirman Park.
