Abstract
This thesis is entitled “ A Psychopathology Study of Patrick Bateman as The Main Character in “American Psycho“ Novel “. The types of psychopathlogy side of the main character as a result of his low emotion inteligence when confronted to certain situations has peaked the writer’s interest to study about it. Qualitative method is used in collecting data for this study, along with Verstappen’s psychopathology theor. The lack of someone’s ability to emphatize and respond to his emotion could cause not only mental but also behaviour disorders as portrayed in Patrick Bateman, the novel’s main character.
