Abstract
The aim of this study is to present the subject of morphology which is limited on the study of compound words that are found in the paragraphs of Alice in Wonderland novel by Lewis Carroll. This study was conducted to find out the forms of compound words, and the types of meanings that are produced in compound words. To support this study, the writer uses from O’Grady and Dobrovolsky’s theory (1987) to analyze the forms of compound words, and Katamba’s theory (2006) to analyze the types of meanings that are produced in compound words. The writer uses qualitative approach to analyze the data. The results of the study shows there are 35 data of compound words, which are the most dominant form of compound word is single compound and the most dominant meaning produced is endocentric compound.
