Abstract

This study tries to find out about the main character of Margaret Thatcher in “The Iron Lady” film based on Feminism Theory. Starting from how she can manage the social issue when she becomes a Prime Minister, she faces the problem in her political career and also in her family. The writer uses the method of descriptive qualitative in the study. All the collected data are analyzed by using theory of film by Muller & Williams, theory of character by DiYanni, feminism theory by Gamble, theory of liberal feminism by Abbot. The result of the study shows the characters of Margaret Thatcher are diligence, consistence, inspirational, quite confidence, religious, proactive and reactive, persistence, ambitious, and also smart.
