Abstract
The study analyzes the aspect of psycho-analysis which describes the characteristic and personality of a certain character in “Red Dragon” film. Both terms are determined as factors which tell the context of certain characteristics which are shown by the subject of the analysis. The key concept of psycho-analysis is determined by the behavior that is shown or stated through the story line. Thus the purpose of the research is to determine the characteristic of Dr. Hannibal Lecter in Red Dragon film showing the psychological aspect of a person that shows the characteristics and the personalities of the character. The research combines two theories of psycho-analysis, Unconscious theory and Personality theory, to accomplish the goals of the study. Both theories are supported by some theories which have concepts of characterization, personality, as well as cinematic approach of psycho-analysis that tells psychological aspect of a person. For example, the unconscious part of human that tells the personality is significant in the process of analysis. To conclude, the research provides the way to understand the characteristic as well as the personality that are actually two different points.
