Abstract

This thesis is entitled Deforestation Reflected in the Film Mavka the Forest Song 2023: Ecofeminism study Between Women and Nature. The object of this study is the Mavka the Forest Song movie 2023 by Ruban Malamuz. This study aims to analyze the types of deforestation and ecofeminism in the main character in the Mavka the Forest Song movie 2023. This study used a qualitative approach and this study used theories based on Vandana Shiva's ecofeminism in her book entitled Stay Alive: Women, Ecology, and Development (1988) in the Mavka the Forest Song movie 2023. The results of this study show three types of deforestation shown in the Mavka the Forest Song movie 2023, namely large-scale deforstation, chopping down sacred trees, and slash and burn. The results of this study also show the struggle of women in protecting nature from humans who damage natural ecosystems. Women's struggle in protecting nature is shown in two types such as, such as women and nature, and women in the forest. These two things are about how Mavka as a forest guardian fairy protects the forest. The issue of deforestation, which is an environmental problem shown in the movie Mavka the Forest Song by Ruban Malamuz. Women and nature are protectors of nature who protect biological wealth, and protect animal habitats.
