Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of humor creation techniques and the function of humor in the perspective of communication in the Lapor Pak! in the episode Fajar Sadboy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, using the simak method as data collection followed by an advanced technique, namely the recording technique. There are two data sources in this study, namely primary data and secondary data. The primary data in this study is in the form of speeches made by the performers of the Lapor Pak! In the Fajar Sadboy Episode and secondary data in the form of speech actions contained in the Lapor Pak show in the Fajar Sadboy episode. The theoretical basis used in this study is the theory of humor discourse study by focusing on four aspects of humor creation techniques and the function of humor Arthur Asa Berger. The results of the study show that the creation of humor in the Lapor Pak! In the episode Fajar Sadboy, there are a total of 18 data in terms of language, two data in terms of logic, one data in terms of identity, and one data in terms of action. The findings of the humor function in the Lapor Pak! in the episode Fajar Sadboy shows that there are a total of seven social functions, four psychological functions, and 11 entertainment functions. This shows that in the Lapor Pak! In the episode Fajar Sadboy uses humor to show social interaction and build relationships between each other, as well as entertain the audience by creating fun from the humor created.
