Abstract

This study is entitled “Power Domination In One Half From The East By Nadia Hashimi 2016." This study aims to analyze the power domination depicted and how the main character deal with the domination in One Half From The East novel. This study focuses on how power domination that hold within the superior people at household that dominate and controlling the child. The object study is taken from the novel by Nadia Hashimi, One Half From The East (2016). This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to showing findings in essay form and the outline narrative elements. Moreover, the theory of power, power domination from Michel Foucault (1982) is used to answer the problems presented in the novel, which states that the practice of power really work around even in the small form such as household, and obeying as a response to figure what to do. The study results showed that the parents hold superior power that can do anything to their child to figure the life as a form to helping the family but destroy the child.
