Abstract

This study is aims to analyze the materials, to describe the student activities, and explain the result of teaching vocabulary using TPR method and also to find out the students' response toward this method. The author through this study is intended to show to the readers about the teaching methods to master vocabulary with Total Physical Response method in class B TKIT DARFA MULIA PAMULANG. As a source of data, the number of students are 15 children, consisting of 5 boys and 10 girls. Moreover, the writer also observe the class and interview the teacher of class B. In analyzing the data, a descriptive qualitative method is used. Based on data analysis, it concluded that the results as follows 1. Activities of students in the class are learning vocabulary by using body movement or response from the students, 2. The material used is different in each topic, such as pictures, songs, and games, 3. The score given to students by the author hopes, the average scored "Very good", 4. The response from students is also good because they can follow the learning process using this method well. Based on these results, it can be said teaching with Total Physical Response method in TKIT Darfa Mulia was successful. Keywords: TPR method, vocabulary, class B TKIT Darfa Mulia, teach vocabulary
