Abstract

This study analyzes animal exploitation from novel “Wolf Code” (2015) by Chandler Brett. To guide this study, the writer uses the theory of Ecocriticism from Garrard (2012). This study applies the qualitative method as the analysis is presented in the form of essay. It aims how the issue of animal exploitations portrayed in the novel ”Wolf Code” and how the protagonist deals animal exploitation in the novel ”Wolf Code”. The results of the study show that animal exploitation issue contained two aspects from Garrard’s perspective there are wilderness and animal. The first aspect is wilderness as a place that is taken by human. In the aspect animal there are hunting animals, using animal as property and using animal for the factory. In addition, the protagonist responses to deal the animal exploitation phenomenon contained two ways, making a protest video and making a video game.
