Abstract

This study aims to improve the students’ English vocabulary at Practical Education Center Bukit Dago. The subject of study were 15 students of basic one. This study used Classroom action research (CAR) using qualitative approach. The data were taken from the tests, observations and interviews. In the pretest the average score obtained by students was 45. There was an increase with an average score of 63 in test cycle 1 and it increased more with an average student score of 77 in the post test. From pretest to test cycle 1 only 2 the students who succed the test. Moreover From test cycle 1 to post test all of students successfully did the test. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that visual stimuli give contribution toward students’ vocabulary. Keywords: classroom action reseach, teaching, visual stimuli, vocabulary.
