Abstract
The purpose of this study is to give an insight of sociolinguistics which is limited to analyze the use of medical jargon terms in the literary works film entitle “Contagion”. The theories which are used to analyze the medical jargon are Fromkin and Rodman (1998). This study aims to explain and analyze about medical jargon terms. Beside, in this study the writer uses qualitative method to analyze the data. From the result of the study, the types of medical jargon which were found in the “Contagion” film are Borrowing, Derivation, Compounding and Abbreviation.
