Abstract

This research is aimed to improve the students’ speaking skill through Cooperative Language Learning in the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri Pagedangan. The objective of the study is to describe the material, to identify some speaking activities and to know the result of teaching speaking through Cooperative Language Learning. Besides, the result of the study will be described and analyzed based on the qualitative approach through observation, interview, and questionnaires. In this study the writer described and explained the process of teaching speaking through Cooperative Language Learning. Based on the data collected, it can be concluded that teaching speaking through Cooperative Language Learning is very interesting and comprehensible for the students in class VII A of MTs.N Pagedangan.The most significant finding on this study is the students become more confident and enjoy in speaking. It means that the approach of Cooperative Language Learning is helpful to enhance students’ speaking ability.
