Abstract

The title of this research is "Semiotic Analysis of Occupational Safety and Health Symbols of PT PLN". This research aims to semiotically examine the signs, markers, and signifiers behind the OHS symbols in PLN and classify them as a form of imitation. This research uses a qualitative method with Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic analysis approach. This research analyzes the OHS symbols of PLN. From the analysis, it is known that there are 11 warning signs, 4 prohibition signs, and 1 emergency sign. All OHS symbols have a function to provide information about occupational safety and health in PLN. Furthermore, this classification is obtained after a semiotic analysis that shows signs in the form of text, symbols, and colors marked with signifiers and signified showing that signs of occupational safety and health at PT PLN have various meanings and interpretations for workers.
