Abstract

The title of this study is The Students’ Perception of Virtual English Learning Amidst Covid-19 (A Survey at Third Grade of MI Nurun Najah 1). This study was aimed to find out students’ perception of using virtual English learning in the third grade of MI Nurun Najah 1.The research methodology in this study applied a case study that was conducted from August to September 2020 at MI Nurun Najah 1. The object of this study was the third-grade students at MI Nurun Najah 1 for the academic year 2020/2021. There were 29 students in the third grade that consisted of 18 boys and 11 girls. This study used a qualitative method to analyze the data. The data were taken from questionnaire, interview, and observation by using Demuth’s theory (2012). Based on the data analysis, the results from the questionnaire, interview, and observation of this study showed that there were positive and negative perceptions of the students. The positive perception of students was that they were excited about virtual English learning. However, the negative one was that some students were more exciting learning in class.
