Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze women leadership issues represented in fantasy novel The Girl Who Drank The Moon (2016) by Kelly Barnhill. This study applied qualitative research method as analysis presented in the form of text. The writer used the perspective of Srilatha Batliwala (2011) in feminist leadership for social transformation to guide this study. The analysis showed a clear indication of the role of women in leading a change through the nature of a strong character in the story. There are two problem are women leadership present in this novel and women leadership related with the character. The changes made by female characters which are seen in this study have a significant impact on people’s lives, namely the change from suffering to comfortable in a community column. This is also supported by other characters who have a relationship with the female leader in making the change.
