Abstract

This study is attempted to analyze the semiotic process and the message implied on selected food text and companies’ logo. The semiotic approach was used to identify and analyze the data which focusses on representament, object, and interpretant by using triadic concept of Charles Sanders Peirce’s theory (1991). This study employed descriptive qualitative because the writer collected the data in the form of written words which produces descriptive information. From the result analysis, it can be affirmed that all aspects in the logos have the same message to persuade the readers to buy the product eventhough the signs in each logo is different. Key words: Semiotic, Companies’ logo, Pierce’s theory, Qualitative approach.
