Abstract

Slang is an informal language that is widely used by people, especially young people. Slang also found in movies often makes people misunderstand or do not understand well about the conversation. The main objective of this study is to analyze the types and the meaning of the Slang Words Used in All About the Benjamins Movie. The writer uses qualitative method. Eric Patridge (1950) theory is used to analyze data. From the data analysis, it was found that, there are 41 data of slang words which are divided into 4 types which are 19 Cant slang, 16 Society slang, 4 Cockney slang and 2 Publicity slang.
