Abstract
This study is a research of Sportcoat’s psychology, in Deacon Kingkong by James Mcbridge (2020). There is some disrupted psychology from main character, Sportcoat’s experiences the hallucination due to the rough life,dissease, feel guilty and miss his beloved wife. The researcher question of its analysis 1) How is the reflection of Sportcoat’s hallucination in the Deacon King Kong? 2) What are the causes of Sportcoat’s hallucination based on his Id,Ego,Super-ego analysis in Deacon Kingkong?. Then, the analysis that the writer conducted used a psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud. The writer uses a qualitative method, the novel become its material object for analysis. The result of the study, tell about how Sportcoat’s basic needs that is not fulfilled well, it based on Sportcoat’s Id as a basic needs. For instance in loves aspect and condition of Sportcoat’s health also financial which not support. The Ego as Sportcoat’s form of embodiment, try to achieve what Sportcoat’s (Id) needs. Then The Super�ego come to make everything to be more morally, but unfortunate what Sportcoat’s really needs as his basic need (Id) can not fulfilled well. Thus, the effect makes Sportcoat’s hallucinate so much and in the end do a suicide after capable to achieve several things that Sportcoat’s want.
