Abstract
PT. Medifarma Laboratories is a foreign company engaged in the manufacturing industry that produces various types of medicines. Biogesic Tablet is one of the drugs produced by PT. Medifarma Laboratories. Even though the production process is carried out properly, discrepancies are often found between the resulting product and the expected product, such as damaged/defective products. The biggest factor in the occurrence of product defects in the blistering process is the lack of maintenance of the production machine. This results in an increase in the number of product defects produced, resulting in losses for the company due to increased defective products. The company will try to minimize product defects so as to minimize production costs and reduce product rejects. To overcome this problem, the suitable method for controlling product quality and reducing the number of defective products related to the large number of defects in the blistering process is to use the Quality Control Circle (QCC) method. This method uses seven tools, including check sheets, stabbing diagrams, histogram diagrams, scatter diagrams, Pareto diagrams, control charts, and fishbone diagrams for the process of identifying defective products and analyzing defective products. As well as using 5W + 1H analysis for proposed improvements. After repairing the NG Dust defect in the pocket/tablet and NG Pinhole&Leak that occurred in the blistering process of the Biogesic Tablet drug product, it decreased, from the previous average NG Dust ratio in the pocket/tablet for the January-December 2020 period of 1.02%, down to 0.16%. And the average NG Pinhole & Leak ratio for the January-December 2020 period was 0.79%, down to 0.12%. Keywords: Quality, Biogesic Tablet, QCC, Reject, Defect, Seven Tools
