Abstract

This study discusses the illocutionary speech acts in the film "Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini (NKCTHI)" by Marchella Febritrisia Putri. The problems studied are the types of illocutionary speech acts and the function of illocutionary speech acts. The theory used is the theory of Putrayasa and Hermadji regarding the types and functions of illocutionary speech acts. The data collected using listening and note-taking techniques,listening, and recording dialogues using illocutionary speech acts in the film. The results of this study found as many as 32 data. The more dominant data is the type of expressive illocutionary speech act with 10 data, the type of directive speech act with 9 data, and the type of assertive illocutionary speech act with 8 data. The most dominant speech act function is the function of stating as much as 4 data, the function of commanding as much as 3 data, and the function of apologizing as much as 3 data.
