Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze struggle power abuse in Everything Everything novel written by Nicola Yoon, Theory used in this study Michel Foucault’s theory in Key Concepts book. This study applied qualitative approach. The result of the study shows that the power abuse occurs in the ways: limitation of movement in the society, manipulating the truth which is conducted a mother toward her daughter are shown through make lie about the disease and over protecting from people outside. Nevertheless, a daughter as character in this novel that was ready to make her decision, to expresses her personal choice as well as dealing with the consequences. Finally, the struggle to break this abuse is done in three ways: identifying the truth, breaking the limitation and interacting with more people are shown trough her fight against defying the unreasonable rules.
